Mini-Ductor II™ Induction Heater Uses Precision Heat Versus Open Flame

Snap-on® Industrial features fast, portable induction heater as part of comprehensive equipment offering

Snap-on® Industrial now offers the Mini-Ductor II™, a handheld portable induction heater designed to safely and accurately heat nuts, bolts and other fasteners. The device is the most effective choice for a wide array of mechanical projects where specific heating is required.

By using electromagnetic fields, the Mini-Ductor II is able to resolve most stubborn bolt, hinge, nut and fastener issues by heating the fastener precisely, while leaving the surrounding area untouched. It's also fast, so fast that it can turn a 3/4” nut bright red in just 15 seconds. Its durable casing and portable design make it easy to use, while eliminating the hazard of an open flame.

The Mini-Ductor II relies on preformed coils that range from 7/8” to 1 ¾" diameter, which are able to heat up fasteners as large as 1 ¾". A U-form coil is available for irregular applications, as well as a Mini-pad accessory to remove decals, body-side moldings and other adhered graphics. The Mini-pad also can be used to soften spray paint for easy removal and to pop out paint-free dents.

The Mini-Ductor II's thermoplastic housing and covering of all terminals means durability and safe handling. A grenade-grip handle provides comfort and safety during use. To provide better visibility, especially in hard-to-see areas, the Mini-Ductor II is equipped with an LED work area illumination light. Coils are designed for durability, lasting more than 500 uses on average – and up to 3000 uses if the coil does not come in contact with a fastener or other object.

The Mini-Ductor II kit comes complete with the handheld 120-volt, 1000-watt output Mini-Ductor II power supply with two thumb screws; one U-form coil; one 7/8” preform coil; and one Bearing Buddy coil in a custom-fit storage case.
