The development team at Point One Media, Inc. has recently launched an exciting new service that will help Sheet Metal Journal subscribers get the most out of the magazine and expand their reach in the market as their businesses grow and change. It all begins with our website, <www.sheetmetaljournal.com>. Its fresh new design and subscriber log in area are the first steps in a comprehensive plan aimed at improving online and in-print services to our readers. Subscribers will now find a “subscriber code” in the mailing address label on the cover of the magazine. Subscribers can visit the website and click “log in” to create a user ID and password. With this information, users can instantly update their own subscription information instantly, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The new site also features a totally searchable archive and subject database providing a wealth of information about what’s happening in the industry.
But that’s not the best part. In the long term we are looking to implement an online Service and Supply Directory for the industry in which companies will be able to categorize the type of business, product or service they provide, as well as the direct market(s) they serve. Companies with more than one location will be able to identify Head Office and Branch locations, so potential clients know exactly where to go. This service will make companies available to the qualified, industry professionals that use our Service and Supply Directories as tools in making key purchasing decisions.
This in only the beginning of our plan to upgrade our level of web-based service to our existing and potential subscribers. In the future, all of our subscribers will have access to an area where editorial opportunities will be posted. This means subscribers will never miss out on the opportunity to participate in a feature article or company profile, as announcements and calls for interest will be relayed in a highly-targeted and inclusive fashion.
We look forward to your feedback in testing out the new system. Comments and suggestions are welcome as we continually strive to improve our level of service and the quality of our print and online publications. Feedback on the website, its services and the new log in process can be sent to <jkrippendorf@pointonemedia.com>. n
