Webinar July 19th: Electric Arc Flash Protection and NFPA 70E
If you work with energized electrical equipment, then you should know the dangers of arc flash and arc blast. Learn how to take precautions to protect your workers in a webinar exclusively for SMACNA members “Electric Arc Flash Protection and NFPA 70E,” July 19th, 11:00 a.m. (EDT).
Did you know that simply changing out fuses or testing voltage on live electrical equipment may require compliance with regulations and standards related to arc flash and arc blast prevention? Led by Larry Hilgeman of The Hilgeman Group, this webinar is designed to help sheet metal and HVAC contractors comply with the requirements of related Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) electrical standards and the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Code 70E on electric arc flash and arc blast prevention.
Safety directors, project managers, supervisors and those responsible for safety programs should plan to attend. Participants will also receive an overview of the model program “Arc Flash / Arc Blast Prevention and NFPA 70E,” planned for publication in July 2011. The written program will be free to all SMACNA members. Webinar participants will receive instructions on how to obtain the program.
Register today by clicking the webinar link on the SMACNA home page. Cost is only $95 per connection, and one Internet computer registration fee allows unlimited participants at the same site. Registration also includes free access to the archived webinar recording.
