BCCSA’s Network of Regional Safety Co-ordinators is Up and Running
The BC Construction Safety Alliance has announced the launch of its Network of Regional Safety Co-ordinators with three highly-skilled construction professionals and certified instructors set to provide consultation services across the province.
The Regional Safety Co-ordinator service is aimed at assisting contractors in all construction sectors with questions, concerns, and goals relating to health and safety in the workplace.
Network consultants will travel the province providing on site consultation to contractors who have safety questions, concerns about WorkSafeBC orders, interest in developing safety programs and materials, or are preparing for Certificate of Recognition (COR).
Serving contractors in the Okanagan area is Jim Riches; John Dunn is the representative on Vancouver Island, and Jeff Lyth is working part-time in the Lower Mainland. Each offers extensive knowledge of and experience in construction industry health and safety, and will focus on providing straightforward and practical assistance to all types and sizes of construction companies for whom meeting safety goals can sometimes be a challenge.
